I have been a keen writer all my life. I’ve had papers published in the academic press and proceedings of international conferences, and had opinion pieces published in the national and international press, from the Reuters Foundation to the Big Issue.
For four years I also fronted an irregular column in the Metro newspaper on how to green your money.
In 2021, I was lucky enough to make a nationally significant discovery of beavers living and breeding on the River Avon and subsequently had a book published – River Journey: Searching for wild beavers and finding freedom (Tangent Books) – with the author proceeds donated to conservation charities.
I was a reviewer of the book Board Talk, on good governance and dynamics in boards, and provided the foreword for Scaling Conservation, by Oxygen Conservation, on how new approaches to nature restoration can be scaled and replicated.
