Speaker & Spokesperson
I don’t seek the limelight, and you won’t find me on social media other than LinkedIN, but I have had a relatively high profile in environment and social sectors and particularly in sustainable finance and conservation – talking about issues that I’m passionate about. Sample articles – Raconteur, RIBA journal, Forbes.
I’ve spoken at various high-profile events, including a CEO panel at COP26 chaired by former Prime Minister Baroness Teresa May, and I was invited to give the Burntwood Lecture for the Institute of Environmental Sciences in 2017 and a Bristol Distinguished Address in 2020.
Recorded interviews have featured in training programmes for the Institute of Directors, Chartered Bankers Institute and Natwest/Sustainable Finance Lab. I have also been interviewed for several films and campaigns, including the Netflix film Our Planet: Too Big to Fail and the Save Our Wild Isles films on the finance sector and food systems.
A wide variety of interviews and podcasts have invited me to be a main guest, including the BBC’s Wake Up To Money and Costing The Earth, Mary Portas’ Kindness Economy podcast, the Good Leaders podcast and the Planet Possible podcast.
In recent years I’ve frequently spoken about my book and advocated for beaver protection and restoration, including at the Beaver Trust beaver symposium 2023 and the Festival of Nature and on the BBC Countryfile magazine podcast.
